Ricky has released several albums with environmental themes, including “Wild Monsoon” in 2022 with multi-instrumentalist David Vito Gregoli, who shares his deep concern for our environment.

In his teens, Producer/Multi Instrumentalist David Vito Gregoli was already hailed as a guitar virtuoso and working in the L.A. club scene. He later studied classical music and received a Bachelors in Music. His interests in the healing power of music led to his expansive experiments in various styles of music. He's had the privilege of working with Singer/Songwriters, New Age and World Music artists as Constance Demby, Jai Uttal, Mala Ganguly, Julia Fordham, Deepak Chopra, Jim “Kimo” West, Steven Halpern, Donna De Lory, as well as countless artists as both producer and player.

After the overwhelming response to Wild Monsoon, which blends new age with world beat, the two decided to reimagine the album as a more meditative and ambient album which they call “Liquid Planet”. The new versions of each song keep the essential material from the original with the global grooves replaced with a thread of serenity, hence the “chillax” subtitle.

Liquid Planet is a celebration of nature through music and an encouragement to find harmony and balance.

The “Liquid” in LP is a nod to Chuck Wild’s “Liquid Mind” series of albums that to me, defines the genre of relaxation/healing music.

“Planet” is in the title because both Ricky and I share strong support of environmental issues.

In fact, Ricky has a string of global environmental designations, including Earth Day Network "Ambassador”.

“Chillax" speaks to the style and the vibe we want the listeners to experience with this latest release.

"Liquid Planet" is a re-envisioning of our 2022 release “Wild Monsoon,” a hybrid World Beat/New Age project. Stripping away the rhythm elements from the original reveals a deep bed of texture and mood that has its own unique sound and effect.
